$125 – $250Sips celebrates the contribution that Washingtonians – both young and old, professional and student – make to feeding and supporting the city’s neediest. Chefs, artisans, mixologists gather for this lively cocktail reception and offer their signature dishes and craft cocktails. This festive night will include event founders and hosts Joan Nathan and Alice Waters and speakers from Martha’s Table and DC Central Kitchen. Join your community in changing lives and find sustainable solutions to poverty.
Special VIP Tickets
VIP ticket holders receive advanced entrance to the exclusive Sips VIP lounge along with one outstanding new cookbook from a participating chef who will be available to sign the cookbook. Past years’ chefs and cookbooks have included April Bloomfield (A Girl and Her Greens), Sean Brock (Heritage), David Guas (Grill Nation), Steven Satterfield (Root to Leaf, Michael Solomonov (Zahav) and Spits & Suppers founder and host Alice Waters (My Pantry).
VIP guests will rub elbows with celebrated chefs and cookbook authors, and will enjoy a selection of delicious bites and beverages. In addition, the VIP lounge – located on the second floor of the Newseum – will remain open to VIP ticket holders throughout the evening providing a dedicated open bar and a variety of seating areas.
