History of Jewish Cuisine in America at the Library of Congress

Join us for an engaging and delightful afternoon with renowned cookbook author Joan Nathan, as she explores the rich culinary traditions that are integral to Jewish holidays. Joan Nathan, often referred to as the “Queen of Jewish Cooking,” will share her vast knowledge and insights into how food and cuisine play a pivotal role in the celebration of Jewish festivals and holidays, as well as in the preservation and expression of Jewish culture and identity. She will share some highlights from her new book, My Life in Recipes: Food, Family and Memories. The event will be moderated by culinary historian and National Jewish Book Award winner, Michael W. Twitty.
